Who we are

Proven is an independent product. It is run independently and is not operated by or affiliated with any company. The maintainers of Proven act as the controller of the limited personal data described in this policy. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the arena. This includes:

• Your account email address.
• Your name, if you choose to provide it (optional).
• Your password, which is stored hashed by our authentication provider and is never kept in plaintext.
• Your pitch video submissions and any notes you attach to them.
• A referral code, if you sign up with one.
• Basic technical metadata captured at signup, such as your user agent and the referring page.

Why we process your data and our lawful basis

Under Article 6 of the GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

• Performance of a contract: to provide the service, create and maintain your account, and run the arena where you submit pitches and companies review them.
• Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the platform, including preventing abuse.
• Consent: where applicable, for example optional information you choose to share. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Where your data is stored

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf as processors:

• Supabase for our database and file storage, hosted in the EU region (Stockholm).
• Vercel for application hosting.

These providers process data only on our instructions and under appropriate data protection terms.

Cookies

We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in (your authentication session). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. We delete it on request, or when it is no longer needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at sni3snow@gmail.com.

Right to complain

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority in the EU or EEA.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the product evolves. When we do, we will revise the last-updated date shown at the top of this page.
